Narrative

Durham County is the lead applicant for a Reconnecting Communities that is requesting federal funding to conduct a planning study for the Durham to Roxboro Rail Trail. This study will determine the cost and feasibility of converting the 18.25-mile inactive rail corridor, that runs from the border with Person County to the Future Durham Rail Trail at East Club Road, into a public trail.  Attached is the draft letter of support and map of the proposed trail.

Board Action: Recommend that the DCHC MPO Board sign the letter of support.
